In some kind of situations, the air can be purified, just with cooling the air. The air, for example can contain fatty vapors or gases which will condensate at high temperatures, like alcohols or some kinds of hydrocarbonates. For situations like this, the air can be treatet with a DMT Cooler or Condensor. Sometimes a condensor (without cooling) is enough, for example if the air contains high soluble compounds like hydrochloric acid.

Advantages of the DMT Coolers or Condensors are:
• Compact
• Reliable, even with high fluctuations in flows or concentrations
• Easy to combine with chemical scrubbers or Sulfurex
• Easy to implement after Biological scrubber


Process description:
The air enters the unit at the bottom, passes the packing material (for high exchanging area) and demister (for removing droplets from the air) and leaves the unit. The water is sprayed at the top of the packing material and goes in counter current with the air. The water is circulated for an optimized use of water. If a low process temperature is required, the circulation flow will be cooled with a heat exchanger and a cooling system.
