DMT builds installation in Seixal - Portugal
A team of enthusiastic people

With a team of enthusiastic people DMT have built a biological desulfurization unit at the waste water treatment plant of Seixal in Portugal. The installation will remove H2S and NH3 from the biogas and dry it in order to be used a fuel in the three gas engines.

The plant consists of three main units. A biological reactor to remove H2S and NH3. The second unit is an after treatment, consisting of a cooling step with a condensate removal consisting of two parallel compressors and two parallel installed activated carbon filters. The third unit is the DMT gas sampling and monitoring system, which continuously measures the levels of methane, carbon dioxide, oxygen and hydrogen sulphide in the clean biogas.
